Sarah P. Thornell, LCSW

Sarah P. Thornell, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Memphis.

During her graduate studies, Sarah completed a clinical internship with Avalon Hospice supporting patients and families through end-of-life care. Additionally, she completed a second internship with the Methodist Living Well Network, where she was involved in the early development of integrated behavioral health services within primary care. She also partnered with the Methodist Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and contributed to mental health outreach and collaboration with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network in Shelby County.
Sarah began her mental health career in 2015 as a mental health technician at Parkwood Behavioral Health Services, working with children, adolescents, and adults in acute care settings. Upon completion of her MSW degree, she joined Youth Villages, serving as a residential therapist for children and families facing complex trauma, developmental and learning disabilities, and a range of behavioral health concerns, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, and family conflict.
Today, Sarah specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger, trauma, selfesteem, parenting, and interpersonal conflict.
